This sweet duo is new in town and I am so glad they found me! I’ve been living in Germantown pretty much my entire life (minus a few years in baltimore for college and 5 years in the Outer Banks after that) so they pretty much got a tour guide and a photographer in one! LOL. I had such a blast with Becky and Anand during our session! The love they have for each other was just pouring out and it was such a joy for me to capture. Luckily, in the middle of what felt like two weeks of straight rain and clouds, we had a glimpse of sun on our morning to shoot! There is a rainbow of hope after every storm.

Their little lady is their rainbow baby (hence the rainbow onesie up there!) and I can’t wait to meet her. Someone to share the love with even more. <3

You’re already at her blog 😉 Stephanie inquired about adding some floral elements into her session and I said YEAH OK! My love of flowers goes hand in hand with my bee branding, which is why I started my personal passion adventure the emiBee Project! Any chance at adding some into a session makes me excited and I knew this rose garden would be perfect for capturing the love they have for each other and their sweet baby girl. And that huge flowery tree at the end- oh my GOSH I loved everything that was happening.

I had a vision for these amazing maternity images, a creek, a white gown, lush green trees… and since I didn’t want to convince any client of mine to jump into a lake wearing a lace dress while very pregnant, I had the idea to do it myself. Unfortunately I was due with my son in February, so THAT wasn’t happening. Luckily though! One of my very best friends in the whole world is due very soon (May babies are the best because I’m not biased at ALL) and she is brave and beautiful- the perfect combination to make my dreams come true. Her super awesome husband Don came along for some fun and they brought their pup Maddie, who was nice enough to play along for one shot (she was too busy exploring the creek otherwise.) All in all we had a lovely little session by the creek we’ve had picnics by years past and it was everything I hoped it would be and so much more.

After her session, Erin had a henna blessing with a few other ladies and I HAD to get a few of that amazing art work as the sun was setting. Magic. All around.
