It was such an incredible honor to capture this day for Eric and Avi! They live in Israel, but came back to celebrate with close friends and family. The Kentlands Mansion was such a stunning location for this intimate and special wedding. I caught up with the guys while they put on each others boutonnieres and shared a few sweet laughs. We made great use of the gorgeous balcony for a few portraits before meeting the family down in front of the mansion. One of my favorite moments of the entire day was watching the signing of the ketubah. The mirror behind the grooms perfectly captured the witnesses and parents beside me watching them raise their pens and sign. Before Avi and Eric walked down the aisle, Jet filled the room with bubbles, Mia carried her stunning bouquet, and Ella tossed white rose petals while the violin duet played a lovely rendition of Home by the Magnetic Zeros. Once under the chuppah, the rabbi spoke, Eric and Avi exchanged teary, sweet vows and placed their rings on each others fingers. At one point, a few rose petals fell from Eric’s boutonniere and without missing a beat, Avi said “you’re falling apart!” I loved capturing all of Avi’s silly moments. We all wiped away tears as family and friends recited the Sheva B’rachot, the seven blessings, and the grooms smashed their glasses. Cheers erupted as Eric and Avi walked back out through more bubbles and the song 1000 Years by Christina Perri. I managed to sneak the boys out to the garden during cocktail hour for more fun portraits before it was time to sit down for lunch (which was incredible.) Eric’s parents delivered heartfelt speeches, including a sing a long tradition with lyrics passed around so everyone could join in, followed by a champagne toast. Soon it was time to cut the red velvet cake topped with two grooms and a pup and dessert was served. It was an absolutely perfect and sweet day. I’m so glad I could be a part of your day Eric and Avi!! Mazel!
