A short and sweet, super fun session playing with this cutie pie and her parents. That curly hair, guys, I LOVE it.

Oh my gosh. Where do I start with Kai’s session. I am such a sucker for curly hair in it’s amazingly beautiful, natural state (blame it on my PIN straight hair and it’s inability to hold curl for more than five minutes.) Kai arrived at my studio with her hair in twists. Her beautiful mom (no, seriously guys, I snuck her into one of the pictures and she said she didn’t have her typical make up on, but girl came in looking better than me on my BEST day. for real.) asked me what she should do to her hair as she started untwisting. She asked if we should just let it out and I was like YESSSS. Haha! And as we can see, Kai was so stunning. Her smash was a ton of fun too. I let her blow raspberries and be messy and she even licked icing off her foot! My kinda girl! You do what you have to do to get all that icing.

As always, the before and after!
I love, love, LOVE when clients come back to me for more sessions. Not only is it flattering, but it is so wonderful to see those beautiful faces again. I invest myself in each story that I photograph and I love to know what happens next. In this story, Matt and Ja’net got engaged! They wanted a retro, vintage feel, so we had a little fun styling this session together. I am pretty obsessed with most of these images. Historic Savage Mill is gorgeous and now one of my favorite photography spots! .jpg)

I seriously just had to put my camera away because I couldn’t stop taking pictures. LOL! Congratulations Matt and Ja’net!
Olivia was dressed to the nines for her portraits and I LOVED IT. I could NOT get over how adorably fancy this dress was. It had a train and she had 3 strands of pearls… it was so awesome. I feel like these pictures would look so awesome next to her wedding portraits one day. Ohhh the ‘time flies’ feels. Being fancy didn’t stop her from smashing her birthday cake though. She straight up destroyed that thing. High Five Olivia!

Nicole and John were such troopers in the July heat on this day, but you would never know! Not only was it July, but right after our last shot, it started down pouring. We were hearing thunder get closer and louder as we were finishing up and the humidity was insane. Nicole gets bonus points for their awesome coordination. Let’s take a minute to drool over that ring too. Wowza.
