Fall Weathers! | Family Photography; Germantown, MD

Another beautiful fall day with another beautiful family! This session was supposed to be on Saturday, but just to be safe, we moved it up to Friday and I’m SO glad we did because Saturday ended up being super rainy. The sun popped out at the end right before we wrapped up and everything came together so perfectly! Sweet little Leona did such a great job during her first family session!

Double Snuggle | Fall Family Photography; Germantown, MD

I am SO glad I decided to book outdoor sessions into November this year. September was basically hot, October was cool and November has been perfectly fall with brilliant colored leaves and just enough cool breeze to make it worth bundling up. This has to be my most colorful session so far this fall and I love it! I almost didn’t have any space left in my calendar. I actually didn’t book this day on purpose, since we were having Jesse’s 6th birthday party earlier that afternoon,  but I decided to book these guys anyway and I’m SO glad I did! Ryan and Jackson were some seriously fun twins. They are that age where new people are always a little iffy, but I always have new friends at the end of my sessions, no matter what age I meet! We ran around the park and I found out they love pushing buttons, so near the end of our session, I let them help me take some pictures. The one of just their dad, Tommy at the end was all Ryan! I just held the camera! LOL-  he’s a natural! You’ve got to be some pretty amazing people to be raising twins and Mallori and Tommy are definitely amazing twin wranglers. Be prepared for double the cuteness coming at you!!

Autumn Snuggles | Family Photography; Germantown, MD

This was probably my coldest session to date – the wind didn’t help!- but the sun was blazing as it set and the leaves were the most perfect, rich fall colors. This amazing family still had a good time! We found out that Adalyn’s birthday is the same as my son Jesse’s (TODAY!) so I worked my little tush off to get their gallery and this blog post ready in time to deliver it for her! We cut our session a little short because cutie pie Adalyn wasn’t feeling that blustery wind chill factor, so she came in to the studio for a few minutes a couple days later to do a little cake eating and birthday celebrating! Nothing like being wrapped in a blanket with your favorite people to warm up your insides and your outsides.

Joseph’s LumberSmash! | Cake Smash Photography; Germantown, MD

I was so happy to hear from Jessica again! We got together to celebrate Anthony’s birthday with a cake smash two years ago and now she’s back for little brother Joseph’s first birthday! I couldn’t believe how big Anthony got since I saw him, but he was just as sweet as ever. I love to set my big siblings up with some toys and fun stuff to do while the little ones get ready for our session. I couldn’t help but sneak Anthony in for a few shots too! I was so excited about this one because it was Lumberjack themed! A new one for me, but I was SO here for it and this whole set up did NOT disappoint. I was joking that by the end, Joseph’s icing face look like a little beard! LOL. I had such a blast with those guys and their parents. I can’t wait to see them again! Now, go enjoy some cuteness!

Gonna Make This Place Our Home | Family Photography; Clarksburg, MD

Ok, so this session isn’t my typical sunset in a field session, but I’m SO glad I jumped out of my typical workflow to capture this family’s awesome vision. Noel messaged me about a family session, but with a special idea in mind! They are having their first home built and it was currently in the framing stage. What a great way to capture this exciting time than to have a family session IN their unfinished house! Think of how cool it will be to see these pictures after the house is finished and they’re all moved in, or after Ava packs up to go to college and has spent her entire childhood growing up within those walls that we played between one warm October night so long ago. Every session I finish, I always step back and look through the entire gallery and think of all of those sweet moments families share that they get to keep forever and it makes me feel so fulfilled. I really adore this session and what special moments I got to capture. Not to MENTION how much FUN I had chatting with Supergirl, Ava. Shooting ice powers like Elsa, singing Moana songs and joking with Mom and Dad. We all bonded so much during our short session. I had such a great time!
