It is such an honor to capture a family as it grows. I have followed Sarah and Matt’s story since they were just a family of two! Through their maternity and newborn sessions with James, his cake smash session for his first birthday, a second birthday (and secret pregnancy announcement session!) a fall family/maternity session in October now the second baby Bryson- little miss Aubree has arrived! I had to bring in some of the same sunshine yellow we had for James’ newborn session and OF COURSE we had to incorporate that beautiful Maryland flag. Spoiler Alert: You’re gonna get baby fever from this one, guys! 😉

Let It Snow! | Maternity Photography; Germantown, MD

This was such a magical session! Nicole and I have more maternity session plans for later days, but we couldn’t pass up a super quick session out in the snow after her baby shower! Not only is she braving the cold like a BOSS, but I happen to have a shawl from her wedding that tied everything together so it was doubly special! I’m super obsessed with these and I’m SO glad everything worked out to make it happen!

Thankful For Family | Family Photography; Germantown, MD

I have been dying to share this session with you guys since the weekend before Thanksgiving when I finished up their gallery! I was sworn to secrecy until Christmas cards went out, but I have the green light to post. I obviously love this family since my best friend is a part of it and her family has basically taken me in since high school and I’m unofficially (so lets go with emotionally) Mia’s godmother 😉 The weather was a bit chilly and breezy (for those NOT wearing layers, I won’t name names!) BUT the sun popped out by the end and we got some seriously amaaazing moments. Yes we had three dogs and a baby and yes it was a little crazy, but it was also perfect. Shout out to Mia, who’s smile is brighter than the sun, and Pat’s dogs for putting up with (and in my opinion, totally rocking) those scarves for a minute to get that shot!

Baby, It’s Cold Outside | Hot Cocoa Minis; Ashburn, VA

This was my first session with Allison and her sweet family, but hopefully it’s not our last! Little Mason was SO fun with his adorable scrunchy faced smile! He was ready to get up and go go go, but he still had fun sitting in a crate and smiling big for Mama and Dada for our session.
