I have known Mel since high school and it was an honor to capture her first maternity and newborn pictures with her daughter Helena. So when she emailed me with the AMAZING news of expecting another beautiful little lady, I was over the moon! As you know, that maternity session was amazing and meeting Cora was just as wonderful. We spent the morning in my NEW studio (pictures to come on that!) while we caught up and captured sweet details of Cora! Get ready for some chubby cheeked baby fever you guys…

Cora Mae was named after Mel’s grandma and this is one of her necklaces!

I loved hanging out with the Fehr’s last weekend! It might have been a tiny bit hot out, but the breeze was so nice and in what seemed like a busy park, had a big sunny spot that NO one else was near, so we got to run around and play!

It seems like just yesterday Helena was in my studio for her newborn session and here she is, two years old and upgrading to BIG SIS! I’ve loved Mel since we were friends in high school, and watching her family grow from two, to three and now four, is such a gift. She is so gorgeously glowing and we had such a great time together the other night!!

I can’t wait to meet sweet baby girl number two in a few short weeks!!

I met this beautiful family the other day at one of my favorite little spots in Maryland, the Mckee-Besher’s Wildlife Management Area also known as a sunflower fields gold mind at the right time of year! At any other time of year, or perhaps at that right time of year but after a week straight of rain, when the sunflowers aren’t in bloom, it’s still a beautiful glowy field that makes for a PERFECT location to run around for some fun as the sun sets! These boys were so much fun and as much as they were bonking their heads together, I think they really love each other!

We all remember Emily from her newborn session, right? Well I was so happy that she came back to celebrate the big O-N-E with me! I always love cake smash sessions for so many reasons- the babies (duh!), the cake (helloo!) the dance parties- and I love seeing new and fun birthday themes. Emily has always loved her favorite rubber ducky and her collection has grown to a small army of duckies! So having a rubber ducky themed cake smash is perfect for her! I love the ducky cameo and the fun, bright color combos! I can’t wait for you to see!
