It has been quite a winter season with some warm days and some super icy days. Luckily, the day I met Jagruti and Rahul, it was not too bad out for mid February! I knew the perfect spot to meet up for a beautiful outdoor maternity session a few days before Valentine’s Day. This red covered bridge mixed with Jagruti’s beautiful red gown gave me ALL the festive feels. Their love is enough to warm anyones heart on a cold winter day.

I hung out on a super cold January afternoon last year with these two cute kids who were expecting their first little boy on my son’s birthday. I saw them again with the baby behind the belly, little Sean and now we’re celebrating his big first birthday!! I always have such a great time with them and even though Sean wanted to hold his Mama’s hand almost the whole time, once he tasted what birthday cake tasted like, he was HOOKED! Happy Birthday, Sean!!

My first session of 2019 was a total BLAST! If we’re being honest, I was a bit nervous scheduling a family session outside in January, but luckily the almost foot of snow held off until after we were done! I have met half of this family from previous sessions, but some flew in from Australia and we got the whole gang together for a big round of giggles. It’s always such a fun time to get all the little cousins together and have images of grown siblings with their parents. I had so much fun out there, I hardly even noticed it was cold. If we want to do our next family session in Australia, I’m totally down, you guys!!

What a year!! We moved into a bigger house (and upgraded my studio space!) I snuggled 6 tiny newborns, saw 7 glowing pregnant mamas, crawled around with 4 rolly, polly sitters, partied during 8 cake smashes, ran around and laughed with 20 families and celebrated the holidays with 7 mini sessions!! 52 amazing, beautiful, memory filled sessions captured! It was so hard to pick just a few, so here are about 100-some of my favorites from 2018!! Thank you so much for all of the love- I can’t wait to see what we all create together next year!!

I met these two beautiful people this past weekend. It had been rainy and dark (did you know this year was the rainiest for Washington ever on RECORD?!) but we made it work! Not only did we manage to sneak a few pictures outside without messing up Thiala’s hair, BUT inside the studio, things were totally smokin! A few belly laughs, costume changes and smooches made this session so super fun and beautiful! I can’t WAIT to have them back in January so I can meet Miss Camilla!
