Glowing Fall Sunset | Maternity Photography; Frederick, MD

What an absolute PERFECT fall day this was. At least this was the first day that it actually felt like fall. The humidity was no where to be found and there was a nice cool breeze. The sunset was absolutely golden, but that glow was nothing compared to how stunning and full of love this family was the entire time! Felix was so much fun. He was so sweet to share his rocks and leaves with me while we went on little adventures and found new pretty spots of light to jump around in! Every time I think I have a favorite shot, I see the next one and the next one!

On My Way To Where The Air Is Sweet | Cake Smash Photography; Frederick, MD

I met Henry while he was still in his beautiful mama’s belly, I snuggled him when he was just a few days old, and now he’s ONE! What a fast year it’s been! We had such a blast together in the studio. For someone who doesn’t walk quite yet, he sure can get around at the speed of light. He has mastered speed crawling and getting off of chairs and beds like a professional! He didn’t love the sweetness of the cake, but he did a great job smashing it and that’s really where the fun is (along with really splashing in the tub after the smash to get clean again!) It’s always such a gift to watch my tiny clients grow and change over time and capture it forever to look back on.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HENRY!

Sunflower Sweetness | Sunflower Field Family Photography; Rocky Point Creamery – Tuscarora, MD

The last time I saw Jane, she was still waiting for her little brother and now he’s here! I don’t think I even saw what color his eyes were while we danced around in the sunflowers the other night. He was such a sweet, sleepy peach the entire time! Jane and I twirled and jumped and I think she’s holding the biggest sunflower I’ve ever seen. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous and seeing this sweet family all together as a family of four makes my heart explode! I already can’t wait to see them again for the holiday season!

I love, love, love these cuties so much. They’ve grown a ton since our last session, so I was super excited to see them again! There were a lot of pollinators at the sunflower field, but we took a minute to learn about those fluffy little bumblebees so Addy and Nate were more comfortable being so close to all of our buzzy friends. Leave it to me to make bees cute! We also found what I think is literally the largest sunflower I’ve ever seen! We had such a blast laughing together in the sunset and I think this session should go in the dictionary under SUMMER.

Rookie Of The Year! | Cake Smash Photography; Frederick, MD

The fastest six months ever have passed since Jonathan was here for his sitter session! I didn’t mind it though because he was such a little sweetie and his parents are the BEST. This time they brought an amazing traditional outfit for him to honor his dad’s Nigerian heritage and also celebrated Jonathan being born here with the most American themed cake smash ever: Baseball! What a lovely combination of cultures in one session. It was so fun tickling his toes and playing with balloons. We saw all four of those adorable teeth he’s grown since I’ve seen him last and then he used those teeth to chomp on his birthday cake! I already can’t wait to hang out with these three again soon.
I’m so glad I could celebrate and capture Jonathan’s special first birthday!

Here’s the before and after of cake smash. I love how a balloon ended up in the cake by the end! LOL
