WELL! My little dumpling Rosa turned ONE yesterday! I don’t think there’s a better way to celebrate your very first birthday by having your very first cake (and being able to smash it up however you’d like!) It truly feels like just yesterday we were out in the gardens capturing Anna’s gorgeous glowing pregnancy or snuggling Rosa as a tiny potato two short weeks after she was born! Getting to capture her throughout the months – over the sparkling holiday, springing into the warmer weather once she was sitting up and smiling, and now! It’s been such a joy to capture because it seems like it has happened so fast.
I will say, I’ve never seen a cake smashed so thoroughly but also at the same time, attempted to be rebuilt again. That would be Rosa’s virgo tendencies showing there! Nothing could be more perfect to show off Rosa’s gorgeous, glowing, sunny personality than these end-of-summer Sunflowers! The cake was made and decorated by her aunt Elina and she did an INCREDIBLE job. Truly everything about this session was so beautiful- that could explain why theres just about 200 images in this gallery… Luckily, you get to see them all here!! Good luck picking a favorite. I have about 200.
