I’ve known Hannah for over 15 years and it has been my greatest joy to capture this incredible day for her and Rush. We started off the day with perfect details like Hannah’s grandma’s hand writing in her jewelry box, her something blue thimble hidden among her bouquet and the most uniquely exquisite rings for the bride and groom tucked into perfect white roses and eucalyptus leaves. Lizzo and Beyonce serenaded the hair and make up room with fierceness as the boys were hanging out in the built in to scale replica of an Irish pub downstairs. Once the (fabulously magnetic) boutonniere was placed on Rush by his mom and Hannah was perfectly tied into her dress by her mom, they finally met for the first time on the day they would be husband and wife! The first of several tears Rush had to wipe from Hannah’s cheek. Soft string melodies filled the air as everyone excitedly walked down the aisle. A sweet duet, speeches by friends, the sharing of water and the exchange of rings wrapped these two together in the most beautiful ceremony surrounded by their friends and family in the bounty of nature! I stole the happy couple away afterwords for a private moment alone among the wildflowers planted especially for Hannah. We laughed and they snuggled during their portraits while guests were enjoying cocktails and giant jenga by the most adorable little bar cart. After a sweet and fun first dance, there was a most delicious dinner and the most touching of speeches by siblings and Hannah’s dad. We wrapped up the traditions with parent dances and opened up the dance floor for the rest of the night. I made sure to wait until after the first Beyonce song had ended and we captured the cake being cut as the perfect way to end our night together. The entire wedding was waste free and carbon neutral so the Earth was just as happy as the newlyweds! What a gift and an honor it was to capture this amazing day.
I love you guys and wish you lifetimes of amazing friendship and unboubded love.
